The sun was at its peak in the centre of the sky, without a single cloud to block its light; the perfect type of weather to compliment Kurenai’s style of training…She was defiantly glad she lived in the fire country; it was so rare to get a dull day here.

The young kunoichi was perched on one of the higher branches of a tree, which seemed sturdy enough to support her bodyweight. The genin looked up to the sky and squinted her crimson eyes as the sun hit them; she raised a hand, looking as though she were trying to block out the light. However, when her palm was stretched upwards a glare of light hit the mirrors of her gloves, and throughout the foliage shimmers were created; shimmers of kunais and shuriken to be more precise.

Kurenai eyed up every glint she could find carefully, all of which conjured in the areas she had hoped they would. She grinned to herself, feeling as though she had achieved something; steadily her accuracy was getting better.

It only took a moment for her smile to fade as her body went backward, and using her bent knees and stiff legs the genin hung upside down from the branch, with a lack of anything better to do. An exasperated sigh escaped her lips.

“Now what?”

Her hair fell in a curtain beneath her upside body as the blood rushed to her head. In a perfect world she would’ve gone onto genjutsu training; but that was pretty impossible when there was no one else about to train on.

“I can’t exactly practice on inanimate objects…” She mused out-loud, looking a little annoyed that not only was the training area empty, but she’d have to go and collect all those weapons back up again if she didn’t find something to do.

Arashi had a rare off day for now. His team was safe, having successfully completed their last mission, Sandaime was still doing much of the paperwork that would usually accompany his job, and on top of that, the weather was splendid. Though deadly in battle, the Yondaime had an easy-going manner and a contagious smile when in his home village. Today would be perfect for a stroll in the woods, something he rarely ever did these days.

As the Yellow Flash was going through the woods, in all his fiery-coated splendor, he felt something nearby. He decided to approach, and he saw a young Genin girl perched in a tree. He had an inkling to who she was, but couldn't quite put his finger on it. After all, as Hokage he was to know as many of his subordinates as possible. He grinned cheerfully. "Hello there. Fine day, isn't it?"

The upside down girl crossed her arms as a huff of air escaped her lips, she was getting bored now…and though she was eager to train, she was no so eager to clean up the mess she had made in the grassy clearing.

A sound caught her ears, and instantly her senses perked up, though not enough for her to sit in an upright position just yet. Her crimson eyes scanned the area, but saw nothing, not until a figure appeared out of the shadows of the foliage, not looking as though he’d been sneaking around; but he startled her nonetheless.

Her eyes focused, and it was hard to tell who it was for a moment considering her perspective hanging from a tree branch, but when she did see who it was, the teen was immediately scrambling back up onto the branch, wanting to make it look effortless in front of someone so strong, so superior to herself. Unfortunately she failed, and her feet slipped a little before she finally managed to get into a sitting position, she felt a little under pressure as her cheeks flamed up from embarrassment. ‘I’m making a fool of myself in front of the Yondaime!!’

"Hello there. Fine day, isn't it?"

“Ah, yeah! It is…” She didn’t really know what to say to him, since he probably had so much to do and there probably wasn’t any time in his busy schedule to train or just stick around with some genin. Kurenai shook her head at her own thoughts, why was she being so pessimistic? In the end she blamed it on typical teenage angst before catching the Yondaime’s eyes again, and giving him a small smile.

Wait…if he didn’t have any time on his hands…then what was he doing here??

“Um, what brings you here, Yondaime-sama?” She spoke politely; not wanting to seem rude for asking. She would’ve warned him to be wary of the numerous hidden weapons dotted around, but she really doubted he’d need to be told that. Jumping down from the tree the young genin dusted down her attire and ran her fingers through her lustrous locks of black hair, wanting to make herself look more presentable.
